My priorities:
LISTENING - Engagement. What are your concerns?
LEARNING - Studying pros and cons of every decision.
TRANSPARENCY - Openness and integrity.
In the late 1800s, Spanish Fork welcomed a little orphan girl named Thuridir Sigurdsdottir. While gathering eggs on the cliffs of Iceland to feed his family, her father fell to his death. The tragic news caused premature labor in his wife. Both she and the baby died. Thuridir became known as "Sarah" in Spanish Fork. She grew up and married Joseph Larsen, a Danish farm boy. Their son Merrill left the farm to become a pharmacist. He worked at Johnny Booth's Drug Store before enlisting in the U.S. Army, leaving for WWII a few weeks after his wife Leila gave birth to my mother at the Hughes Hospital in Spanish Fork.
Dear Spanish Fork Resident,
Thanks for considering me as your Spanish Fork City Council Member. I am grateful for our heritage and culture in Spanish Fork. I believe in respectful discussion and kindness to those whose backgrounds and positions may be very different from my own. The Ginsburg-Scalia friendship inspires me. I enjoy making new friends and have basic Spanish conversation skills. My husband Gerald is from Bountiful and we raised our five children there. We enjoy spending time on Spanish Fork's wonderful trails while biking with our two grandsons or walking our German Shorthair Pointer. Heartfelt thanks for visiting this site and voting!
